Zbigniew Ignaczewski is a graduate of the Academy of Music. Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź, in the accordion class of prof. Dr. hab. Bogdan Dowlasz, diploma with honors (1988). Since 1993, he has been employed at his alma mater, where he has been teaching the accordion class since 2002. Since 1992, he has been working as an accordion teacher at the Music School Complex. Stanisław Moniuszko in Łódź. He received the title of professor of musical arts in 2014.
He cooperates with many Polish and foreign cultural institutions. His achievements include many concerts as a soloist and chamber musician, world premieres of solo and chamber accordion works by Polish and German composers, recordings recorded on electronic media (CD), recordings for Polish Radio and Television, and recordings of theater and film music. He gave concerts in Poland and abroad. In 1999, he received the Jury Award “European Short Film Promotion Prize of the Wünstenrot Stiftung” for the music (Promotion Prize for best Music) for the film “Jakub”, dir. Adam Guziński, during Filmfest Ludwigsburg Stuttgart, Germany. He is invited to give lectures and classes during music courses in Poland and as part of international cooperation abroad (Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland).
